SESSION 1: July 11-15, 10am – 2pm, Highland Heights School
SESSION 2: Aug 1-5, 10am – 2pm Rocky River School
This day camp is designed for students age 8-12 years with little or no guitar experience.
Students will learn:
· Anatomy and maintenance of the guitar
· Cleaning and stringing the guitar
· Tuning
· Basic chords
· Jamming and improvisation
· Keeping time
· Blues and power chords
· Basic chord progressions
· Carefully selected cover tunes
· Playing in a band
· Confidence in playing in front of others
The session will culminate on Friday with a pizza party and a showcase for parents and peers.
Students should bring their own lunch Monday through Thursday.
Each session is limited to 15 students. A minimum of 10 is required to run the camp.
Cost: $325
$250 if you register before May 1st
