Kira Small & Bryan Beller rock the house!

Last night was a very special evening for School of Rock. We were lucky enough to have the amazing Kira Small and Bryan Beller grace us with their talents. Kira & Bryan have been traveling across the US putting on house concerts which is so very cool. Gretchen Hyland was gracious enough to host the evenings events at her house, and the night could not have gone any better!

The evening kicked off with our very own headliners opening the show(pic below).

Kira & Bryan then went through their 1st set which features Kira’s material, and a couple covers. I don’t know how many times I can say this but Kira’s voice is stunning, her keyboard skills rhythmic and filling, and Bryan’s bass playing out of this world! Here is a clip from the 1st set. Also, if anyone has anymore video we would love to share it, just put the link in the comments.

Bryan then started in on his bass clinic where he answered questions, told stories about his many experiences in the music industry, including a very entertaining story on his Steve Vai audition. I would have some video of this but I was too enthralled with what he was doing, I wanted to soak it all in. It was really special. Bryan went over how he wrote a few mind bending parts to his songs, and also showed some of his metal chops playing Deathklok tunes! METAL!!!! Though I don’t have video from his clinic I have this solo piece he played during the 1st set!

The night was finished with another set of Kira & Bryan, ending with Kira’s song regarding the ladies of road…Which was played earlier and so well received it was demanded again!

I would like to thank everyone who came last night, as I said you really got to witness something special. It is really cool to be able to sit down with people like Bryan & Kira and listen and learn in a setting like that. A night we won’t soon forget! To the kids that came, I am very proud of you not only for taking an interest in Kira & Brian, but also for representing SoR Cleveland the way you did.

We hope to see them back here soon!

They now hang on our wall of fame!

If you did not pick up a disc last night or were unable to go please check them out. They both have new discs out, I have listened to both and they kick so much ass! BUY THEM!

You can order them at their websites below.
